Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
Ok so the day has brought a few surprises .. we had a doctor's appointment this morning to make sure the blood was flowing like it should to the baby and again measure the amniotic fluid - well the blood flow is great - baby appears healthy. The bad news is my amniotic fluid is now at a 3. For reference 15 is normal - I was at an 8 on Monday. So we were sent over to the hospital to be monitered and start steriods for Eliza's little lungs. They will administer 2 shots - one tonight and one tomorrow night and Sat. we will do another ultrasound to see what the fluid level is. There is a chance that it could go up but Eric and I don't expect it. The most important thing right now is for me to get the steriods in case of an early arrival so she can breath on her own ... I want a BIG cry from her. She is still breech and doesn't have enough fluid to turn so a C-section it is!
So we will def. be here through Sat. but hopefully will get to go home ...
Eric and I are cozied up in our hospital room which happens to be a shared room. Luckily no roommate at the moment. We've asked for a private room and maybe we'll get one. We currently have a lousy window view but it beats being on the side of the room with the toilet.
This seems a lot like being on bed rest at home, just a different view. But I don't have Suzy laying on my feet which I miss. I do have my laptop here so feel free to email me or post comments as always. Eric and I will be here all night. He bought some cards so we'll play some Gin Rummy. Eric's got a nice pleather recliner to sleep on tonight. MAybe I'll share one of my 10 pillows.
Happy Valentine's Day to you and your sweeties. We'll post again tomorrow.

Well look who's pretty and pink on this V Day! Thank you for the much anticipated update and way to be a tried and true blogger amidst the elements! We're praying! Go Carol! Go Eric! YEAAAHHHHH Eliza!!!!!!!PS...doesnt get much more romantic than a window view at New Hanover! If anybody ever said you were high maintenance, they were wrong!
First of all...let me say how precious that picture of you and Eric is...just sweet as can be and will be great to put in the baby book!! I for sure know how it feels to go in for a doctors appt and be sent on to the hospital...but I will keep my fingers crossed that you, Eric and baby girl get to go home after Sat. I am saying a special Valentines day prayer for you and your little one...and I'm glad to hear you are getting some shots in you to help that little girls lungs get as strong as can be. She is going to be just fine. Keep us posted...I will be checking your blog all the time! I love you! Anderson sends kisses to his little friend so have Eric give her a smooch through the belly :-)
Caroline, you look so pretty in pink as always! Your Charleston fans are praying hard...just rest and enjoy those card games -- you won't have time for them for the next 18 years or so :)
Hey guys - nothing wrong with a little change of scenery, especially with a view! I've been anticipating the update so keep 'em coming. You're all in my thoughts and prayers, as always. Have fun playing cards - no strip poker though.
